Salas Family Enterprise, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Yard Sign Hunters mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

To provide a reliable, community-driven marketplace mapping experience, we collect the following categories of information:

Location Data: Real-time GPS coordinates to map yard sign locations and show you nearby listings.
Account Details: Your name, email address, username, and profile preferences.
Uploaded Content: Photos of yard signs, sale descriptions, dates, times, and associated notes that you choose to post.
Device Information: Technical data about your mobile device, operating system, IP address, and hardware model.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected information for purposes core to the app's functionality:

To display active, crowdsourced yard signs to other users in your geographic area.
To verify the accuracy and integrity of reported sign locations.
To send you customized alerts or updates about new signs matching your filters.
To manage your account, process subscriptions, and improve overall app performance.

3. Legal Bases for Processing Your Data

If you access our platform from regions requiring a lawful basis for processing personal data (such as the European Economic Area or United Kingdom), we rely on the following legal bases:

Performance of a Contract: We process your Account Details and Uploaded Content under this basis. This data is strictly necessary to fulfill our terms of service with you, manage your account, and provide core app features like crowdsourcing and displaying your marketplace pins to other users.
Consent: We rely on your explicit consent to collect and process your precise Location Data (GPS coordinates) and to serve Personalized Advertisements via Google AdMob. You can withdraw your consent at any time by changing your device's native location or tracking settings.
Legitimate Interests: We process your Device Information and anonymized transaction logs based on our legitimate business interests. These interests include monitoring app stability, fixing bugs, preventing fraud, verifying listing integrity, and optimizing overall app performance.
Compliance with Legal Obligations: We may process your information, such as subscription status or billing metadata, to comply with applicable tax laws, financial auditing, or valid law enforcement requests.

4. Third-Party Service Providers & Infrastructure

We do not sell your personal data, crowdsourced locations, or account credentials to third-party data brokers. To operate our platform securely, we partner with trusted technical infrastructure providers:

Firebase Authentication: Securely manages user sign-ins, account creation, and credentials.
Cloud Firestore: Serves as our cloud database to securely store and sync user-generated marketplace listings, pin details, and account metadata.
RevenueCat: Manages and validates in-app subscriptions and premium tiers. RevenueCat handles anonymized transaction receipts to verify purchase status. All financial billing details and card processing are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store; we do not access or store your financial billing details.
Algolia: Serves as our search engine infrastructure to process, index, and deliver real-time search results for user-generated listings. Algolia processes search queries and standard technical metadata to return relevant marketplace matches.

5. Third-Party Advertising & Data Tracking (AdMob)

To keep our baseline services free, we partner with Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the application.

Data Collected: AdMob may collect and use specific device identifiers (such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and hardware model) to show you relevant ads, limit ad frequency, and measure ad performance.
Personalized Ads: Based on your explicit consent, which you provide when opening the app or through your device settings, AdMob may serve personalized ads. You can manage, limit, or reset these tracking identifiers at any time through your iOS or Android device privacy settings.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Listing Data: We retain your listing data as long as the yard sale listing is active. Once a listing is deleted by a user or automatically expires (every Sunday just before midnight), it is removed from our live database immediately. It may remain in secure, encrypted backups for up to 30 days before permanent purging.
Account Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. You can initiate this immediately by using the "Delete Account" button within the Edit Profile settings of the app. Alternatively, you can email our support team at support@yardsignhunters.com (please use the subject line "Delete Account"). Upon request, we will permanently delete your account information within 7 business days.

7. Special Offers, Discounts, and Merchant Deals

Salas Family Enterprise, LLC may display special offers, discount cards, coupons, or promotional deals ("Special Offers") supplied by participating third-party businesses and merchants ("Merchants") within the Yard Sign Hunters platform. By viewing, saving, or attempting to redeem any Special Offer, you agree to the following conditions:

Merchant Responsibility & Honesty: Special Offers are provided directly by independent Merchants. The issuing Merchant is solely responsible for establishing the terms, conditions, restrictions, validity periods, and fulfillment of their respective offers. We do not guarantee, represent, or warrant that any Merchant will honor a Special Offer displayed in the app.
Affiliate & External Referral Links: Some Special Offers, links, or promotions displayed within the Application are affiliate links. If you click on an affiliate link or redeem a promotional code associated with an affiliate partner, Salas Family Enterprise, LLC may receive a financial commission, referral compensation, or bonus at no additional cost to you. We are an independent party and do not guarantee the availability, pricing, or fulfillment of products or services offered by third-party affiliate partners. Your use of third-party affiliate websites or services is governed strictly by the terms and privacy policies of those external vendors
No Cash Value & Non-Transferability: Unless explicitly stated otherwise by the Merchant, Special Offers have no cash value, are non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash or credit, and may not be combined with any other discounts, promotions, or coupons.
Modifications and Availability: Merchants reserve the right to modify, restrict, pause, or terminate Special Offers at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to remove, update, or unpublish any Special Offer from the app at our sole discretion. We are not liable for expired offers, closed businesses, inventory shortages, or any Merchant's refusal to accept a Special Offer.
Fair Use & Abuse: Special Offers are intended solely for personal, non-commercial use by registered users. Any attempt to alter, forge, duplicate, script, or fraudulently abuse redemption mechanisms—or to create multiple accounts to circumvent single-use restrictions—is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
Third-Party Transactions: Any purchase or interaction you make with a Merchant is solely between you and that Merchant. Salas Family Enterprise, LLC is not a party to any contract, product sale, or service provided by participating Merchants and assumes no liability or warranty for goods or services obtained through a Special Offer.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You maintain full control over your data:

Access & Correction: You may request a copy of the data we store about you or request updates to inaccurate information by contacting us.
Location Controls: You can enable or disable location tracking at any time via your mobile device’s native application settings. Disabling location tracking will limit your ability to map new signs or view sales near your immediate location.
Push Notifications: You can manage or disable push notifications at any time via your device's application notification settings.

9. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information immediately.
